Have you ever wondered...

{thanks Susan for this!}
I try daily to be thankful for all that comes my way. Both good & bad. I try to remind myself that through our suffering, He shapes us. So, if something doesn't work out the way you planned, know that His plan is bigger & better! If He doesn't want it for me (us) then I sure don't want it!!

Today, as you are scrubbing floors and washing clothes (the glamorous life), don't say "I have to" but rather "I get to". There are many people who don't GET to do this because they don't have a home. It's just easy to "forget" to be thankful for little things which if we didn't have, would see how BIG the really are.

I shared the above with my children & hadn't planned to post today. After talking with them, I just felt the need to pass it along to y'all. {Rev. Flip Flops☺}

Happy Monday Friends- be blessed and be thankful!

  14. You are so right about this! Yea, I am one to be agreeing since I posted, grumbled, and whined about the new counter tops. But still, you are so right, and deep down, I know that there is a reason for everything. Have a great week Daphne :)
    I am going to work on a new attitude for myself! And my next post will be something that I am very thankful for.

  15. i've been reading ann voskamp's 1000 gifts (think that's the title…it's on my kindle, so i don't see the cover, lol) and it's been really life changing for me as i am encouraged to look for the blessings in my life.
    that's a great question, and i might have to steal this idea {if that's okay} for later. it's a GREAT question.
    as a mom of a daughter who lives in tuscaloosa who saw firsthand people lose EVERYTHING Job-style in a matter of minutes… we both are quite captivated by the idea of tiny blessings.
    thankful for my blessings, and for the reminder to be thankful.
    so… thank you!! ;)

  20. i LOVE this quote! I acutally found it last week on Pintrest and have it ready for my Semi-wordless Wednesday post. It's such a great reminder of all we should be thankful for--big or small. I would have very little today based on what I thanked Him for yesterday.

  30. Taking time to stop and be thankful is something we should all do more often. I know I am guilty of letting the 'bad' get the best of me at times. We all are blessed in many ways and thank for you bringing us back to what is important!
