Tasty Tuesdays - CLEAN Stir Fried Broccoli w/Noodles

Happy Tuesday Y'all!! I hope everyone's week has started off awesome! Today I think I shall start wrapping some presents that I have bought over the several weeks! I am thrilled as this is THE most wonderful time of the year! I'm going to take down the halloween & throw out the Thanksgiving decor.......think next week we may need to do another link-up!

As I was walking through Target yesterday, they had Christmas music playing on the CD display.
It was so angelic, the violins playing, instrumental.....
it brought a tears to my eyes & made me stop in my tracks.....
I thought about Jesus & the importance of this time......
It's so easy to get caught in the hustle & bustle of shopping, decorating & entertaining.....
this isn't exactly what is it all about.
Let us not forget why we celebrate as we kick off the holiday season.
My heart hurts at all the commercialization and it's more about Santa than it is about Jesus.

TASTY TUESDAYS!!

I took this recipe  for Stir-Fried Bok Choy w/ Noodles & made it mine:)
{these are my new Ballard Designs bowls, LOVE!!!}

1 oz whole-grain angel-hair pasta
1 TBSP soy sauce
1 TBSP peanut oil
2 tsp olive oil
4 oz. broccoli florets
4 oz whole mushrooms
1 lb of shrimp
{or more depending on how much you want to make, I just eye balled it.....I didn't have as many noodles as I would have liked, so 1 oz wasn't nough}
Instructions

Cook pasta in a pan of lightly salted boiling water for 5 minutes.
Drain well and set aside.
Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok. Add broccoli and mushrooms, and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Pour in the sauce, add the pasta & shrimp. (mine were pre-cooked, blahhh) and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.
Mix well and serve.

  1. Going to try the turkey loaf today... don't have the flax seeds... will it be ok without?

  2. I'm not sure LOL.....I actually used Flax Seed Meal :)
    I think it's more for the "health benefit" side vs a make or break thing.
    {i think, ha}

  8. I feel you on the meaning for the season. Every Christmas we spend time discussing the real reason we celebrate and make sure Ellie understands its not all about what gifts she gets. To her she thinks she gets gifts because we can't give them to Jesus. Love that idea. XOXO

  9. Is there room for one more on that soap box...??? Each Christmas I ask the little munchkins in our life - before they tear into the gifts ~ "Do you know why we celebrate Christmas?" each year I get the "deer in head lights look" followed by omethng about Santa or gifts... It surprises me that as these children have gotten older they STILL do not know the meaning of Christmas (baptized, many have done their 1st Communion and Confirmation) *** shaking my head****

    This definitely on my list to try ... I'm auntie to a friend's little guy who loves broccoli and noodles (I'll be posting about him next week and his broccoli surprise I gave him for his birthday..)

    Thanks for your visits and sweet inspiring words, your truly are a gift from above not just to me, but to all your readers... xo hugs..HHL

    P.s. loving the bowls.
