Miscellany Monday

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{1} DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?
Listen Y'all......I would say I'm sorry but I just can't! I can't apologize that I am a freak for holiday music! I will listen 24/7 up until the day the my fav. radio station stops playing it....then I still have my own, ha! I will sing every.single.word.to.every.single.song. :) I even shed tears along the way......lots......lots.....

{2} JUST DO IT
That's really my motto, not NIKEs :) I started running again yesterday. It was 4 weeks to the day that I rolled/sprang/screwed up my ankle. I ran 3 miles in 35 min. I was moving at snail pace. I was thankful though that I was able to run.....PAIN FREE. (well 85%) I am not a fast runner really anyway.

{3} ROCK N' ROLL  Y'ALL!
I am training for the New Orleans Rock N' Roll 1/2 Marathon...started today! I actaully am going to train for it and see where it takes me. I read today online that they JUST ADDED a 2 man (girl) team!! So, if your interested in running and don't think you can make the entire 13.1, you can split it. 8 & 5.1.  I am just undecided about running the entire race b/c the first/last 1/2 I ran, really put a hurtin on my body-not to mention a stress fractured foot! If your going to be there, please let me know!

{4} GET 'ER DONE!
Seriously though, just because I am in the South, we do NOT use that phrase...at least not in the FF&P household! I am getting all my shopping bought & wrappred. I refuse to waste away THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR stressing out on what to buy, racing from store to store fighting traffic & waiting in long lines.....I hate it, hate it, hate it! I want it all purchased & wrapped by the 1st. {God Willing} I want to be able to go to parties and tree lighting and sit by the fire & tree each night& watch Hallmark movies with my family. I want to sit back and reflect on the TRUE, REAL & ONLY meaning of CHRISTmas!

{5} STOP GROWING UP!
Aren't you really suppose to say GROW UP?
Why has my little boy become a man? I am so sad.
We celebreated his bday at his favorite mexican joint.
{he is his mothers child}
We came back home and he hasn't left the house excpet to run his sister somewhere, the entire weekend!!! How blessed are we that a 17 yr old would stay home with his family?
THANK YOU JESUS!!

this is how I wish I could bottle them both up!!
wahhhhhhhhhh

{6} SHOW US YO' STUFF GIRLS!

  9. Oh, Daphne, I think I have found a young "soul sister" in you. In reading "about you" I see that we are sooooo much alike in sooooo many ways. I'm so glad I found you and look forward to many visits in the future.

I'm all about Christmas music and have been playing it for a week and will play it 24/7 too. Can't get enough of it.

And, I'm a Southern Belle from the word "go" and love all things southern.

Abundant blessings to you and I thoroughly enjoyed your randomness. Do hope you can stop by and visit me too. Smiles!

  13. I love your blog! I am so glad you stopped by mine and look forward to following along. I love reading about other runners' adventures and training. I miss my running so, so, so much but I know in my heart that I will be right back where I was with a little patience. I so feel your pain with the kids growing up. I can't think far enough ahead to 17 - 5 is bad enough for me right now. I'm trying to figure out how 5 years have already passed. So sad!

  16. I adore Christmas music !!! Christmas is my favourite holiday celebration - not just because I was born 6 days before the celbration of Jesus's birthday - but I love the REAL Meaning of Christmas.

I can't wait to follow along on your Home Tour Tuesdays ~ If the contractors enable me to be able to put something together without getting in there way I will try to join along the way ... I don't think your readers will have much need for "the latest in Saw Dust and table saw decor". I will put your button on my side bar for others who may visit who are not aware of Home Tour Tuesdays - may wish to participate.

The picture of your Blessings is too precious for words .... those curls ...and smiles

Be gentle on your foot my friend, I so happy to read it is feeling much better!! HUGS HHL
